In December 2024, IPv4 prices across APNIC, ARIN, and RIPE showed a notable increase, which can be partly attributed to the strengthening of the US Dollar (USD) against the Euro (EUR).

  • RIPE Region:
    • The /24-/22 range rose from 32 EUR/IP in November to 33 EUR per IPv4 address in December.
    • The /21-/20 range also rose from 33 to 34 EUR/IP.
    • The /19-/18 ranges remained steady at 34 EUR/IP, reflecting the ongoing stability in larger allocations.
  • ARIN Region:
    • The price for /24-/22 IPv4 subnets increased from 30 EUR in November to 32 EUR/IP in December.
    • The /21-/20 range remained steady at 32 EUR per IP-address.
    • The /19-/18 range moved from 33 EUR to 34 EUR, reflecting a general increase in demand for larger blocks.
  • APNIC Region:
    • The /24-/22 range grew from 26 EUR to 27 EUR.
    • The /21-/20 range increased slightly from 26 EUR to 28 EUR.
    • The /19-/18 range remained steady at 30 EUR.

The market’s price increase in December is largely linked to the stronger USD compared to the EUR, further driving the cost of IPv4 addresses in all regions. This trend indicates that currency fluctuations can play a significant role in IPv4 pricing in the European Union, alongside other market factors.
