IPv4 Average Price Trends: August to September 2024 – APNIC, ARIN, and RIPE NCC

Between August and September 2024, IPv4 prices showed notable fluctuations across APNIC, ARIN, and RIPE regions. Here’s a breakdown of the key changes by subnet size:

RIPE Region: The RIPE NCC service region experienced average price decreases in smaller IPv4 subnets. Specifically:

  • The /24-/22 range dropped from 32 to 31 EUR per IPv4 address.
  • The /21-/20 range saw a minor decrease, moving from 34 to 33 EUR/IP.
  • Prices for /19-/18 and /17 subnets remained stable at 32 and 38 EUR per IP-address.

APNIC Region: In APNIC, we saw some average price corrections, particularly for smaller subnets:

  • The /24-/22 range dropped significantly from 26 to 24 EUR per IPv4 address.
  • Larger subnets such as /21-/20 and /19-/18 held their values at 26 EUR and 30 EUR.

ARIN Region: ARIN prices also showed some downward adjustments:

  • The /24-/22 range decreased from 28 to 27 EUR, a slight but notable shift.
  • The /21-/20 range also fell by 1 EUR, moving from 29 to 28 EUR/IP.
  • The larger /19-/18 and /17 subnets remained unchanged, maintaining their prices at 31 EUR per IP-address.

Overall, September data suggests a trend of decreasing prices across smaller subnets in all three regions, possibly due to fluctuating demand or increased supply in smaller IPv4 blocks. Larger subnet prices stayed mostly stable, reflecting consistent demand in broader network allocations.
