ipv4-market-price

As the year begins, we observe several interesting trends in IPv4 pricing across the APNIC, ARIN, and RIPE NCC service regions. Comparing January and February 2024 data reveals significant changes, especially when considering subnet size (/24-/22, /21-/20, /19-/18).

RIPE: In RIPE, the /24-/22 range saw a slight average price decrease from 31 to 30 EUR per IPv4 in February, with /19-/18 subnet prices dropping from 35 to 32 EUR per IPv4 address. However, pricing for larger subnets such as /17 remained stable at 38 EUR.

APNIC: The APNIC region experienced a stable market in January and February, with /24-/22 and /21-/20 ranges maintaining a price of 27 EUR/IP. Interestingly, /19-/18 subnet average prices saw a slight drop, from 35 EUR in January to 32 EUR in February.

ARIN: ARIN showed minimal changes, with the /24-/22 range prices remaining steady at 29 EUR. However, the introduction of pricing for larger subnets like /21-/20 appeared in February, with prices at 30 EUR/IP.

In summary, both the RIPE and APNIC regions saw some average price drops in the smaller subnet ranges, while ARIN remained relatively steady. As we move forward, it will be crucial to monitor if these trends indicate a broader IPv4 market shift.
